The founding scientist, Jack Poulson, was formerly a Research Scientist at Google, an Assistant Professor of Mathematics at Stanford University, and the lead developer of the distributed-memory math library Elemental.
His technical focuses range from high-performance scientific computing and statistics to pure mathematics.
He is also in the process of founding Tech Inquiry, a non-profit providing pro-bono algorithmic and policy consulting to government officials and other nonprofits.
